25/20/10-Early Bird
This week’s chef: Aaron
I’ve added the following section to the GSOP page. Let me know if you agree/disagree with this breakdown.
- 6 or fewer players pays top two
- 7 to 10 players pays top three
- 11 to 18 players pays top four
- 19 or more players pays top five
I know I haven’t posted the results of my AK / 52 experiment lately so, for those of you dying to know:
I’ve been tracking the frequency with which I’m dealt AK and 52, respectively for about 1 year and 8 months – 88 games of poker. Though I should be dealt both hands with the exact same frequency, in fact I’ve only received AK about 1/3 (37%) of the time.
The probability of being dealt one of these hands that much more frequently than the other is a paltry 0.0794% – about eight one-hundredths of one percent, or a bit less than eight in ten thousand.
That is because you wouldn’t know how to play AK if you had it. On the other hand I think you play 52 perfectly. LOL!
So … the universe conspires to take away my AK hands? If I learn to play AK better, can I have more of them?
